Mariah Carey is always glammed up on the red carpet, but at home she wears clothing that's more comfortable and relaxing. Surprisingly the 40-year-old diva is a homebody at heart that loves to be in the kitchen. She even made a big Thanksgiving dinner People.com reports.

On the Rachael Ray Show scheduled to air Thursday, her husband Nick Cannon told Rachael, "We're in sweats. She cooks! People are always so surprised to see she cooks, but she's a great cook," says Cannon. His favorite dish is his wife's linguine with clam sauce.

Before Rachael teaches Cannon how to make Mariah a nice breakfast in bed, she tells Cannon, "I'm so impressed by Mariah in her apron in there, workin' on a bird the size of New Jersey," People.com reports.

Cannon gave his wife a custom-made ring pop on April 30 for their second wedding anniversary and Cannon tells Ray that in the future he will buy his wife some real expensive jewelry. "We have to say our vows over and put something on the finger," he says. "It's always something kinda cool and fun."

Cannon adds, "If you're married to Mariah Carey, you want to get married and have a wedding all the time, too," he says. "And that's how I really feel. I would say 'I do' everyday if I could."

Mariah Carey got a bath time shock Thursday when her dog jumped in the tub with her. The singer wanted to have a long relaxing soak to unwind when her beloved Jack Russell Terrier ChaCha leapt into the bubbles and started splashing about.

She tweeted: "My dog ChaCha just jumped in the tub while I was trying to take a bath & she won't get out (obviously I did lol)." However, rather than get angry, Mariah got out and watched the pampered pooch repeatedly dive into the bath, spilling water everywhere.
She added in another twitter post: "Now ChaCha is swimming/splashing in the tub/diving off the marble on the sides... and she won't stop... My hair is a soaked mess!"

Mariah, 40, then grabbed her camera to take some snaps for her and husband Nick Cannon's photo album. She tweeted: "She's still in there... here she is in action lol. Yep, she cares not that I worked all nite."

Songstress Mariah Carey, with help from super producer, Jermaine Dupri, has revealed that she is hoping that the 1st single from her new studio album will be released “before the end of the year”. Mariah Carey and Dupri have been working on the new project for over a week and are still in the early stages of crafting new material. Along with Randy Jackson and B. Michael Cox, the supergroup is planning to take over R&B music all over again. The group was so hyped about a song on which they were finishing for Carey’s new studio album that they had to share the moment with her fans, via Twitter, of course:

“The song we did tonight, I don’t want to go into it ’cause I don’t want anybody else to know about it until it’s done. But I think it’s going to make you happy ’cause it already is making me happy.”


Randy Jackson:
“We gonna be making history up in here on the album. Me, B.Cox, Jermaine, Mariah, of course. It’s gonna be on Mariah’s album. And several people we won’t mention yet and a concept we can’t discuss.”

Singers Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey celebrated their second anniversary with Ring Pops, including one from a Beverly Hills, Calif., jeweler, the couple said.

The entertainers, who were married in 2008 at Carey's estate in the Bahamas, celebrated their wedding anniversary with a private party in Los Angeles Friday, People.com reported. Noting Carey's affection for classic candy Ring Pops, Cannon had Jason of Beverly Hills hand craft a Ring Pops replica made of white gold, encrusted with white diamonds and pink sapphires, the magazine said.

"It also comes in a box complete with a spinner so that you can see it sparkle under the lights inside," Jason Arasheben, the chief executive officer of Jason of Beverly Hills, told People. Cannon, 29, proposed to Carey, 41, three years ago with a diamond ring hidden inside a Ring Pops wrapper, the report said.

Cannon said last month he and Carey planned to renew their wedding vows on their 2nd anniversary. "I encourage everybody to do it," he said. "If you are happy and in love, celebrate it!"

Mariah Carey is getting ready to put on her Santa suit a month early, as she has been chosen to switch on London's glittering Christmas lights.'

Carey, 39, will flick the switch at the U.K. capital’s Westfield Shopping Centre later this month.

And she is preparing for her role by looking at videos from her festive hits ‘All I Want For Christmas’ and ‘Santa Baby’ so she can stage a dramatic entrance.

“It’s going to be Christmas themed. She’s been looking back at her Santa Baby video for inspiration. She wants to make it a big deal,” Contactmusic quoted a source as telling Britain’s News Of The World.

Foreigner’s Mick Jones can start ordering caviar and Champagne again: Mariah Carey is releasing her own gospel-tinged version of his masterwork song, “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

It’s the first “real” single from her new album following the summer release of the witty “Obsessed,” which is also included on “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.” The album and the single hit the world on Sept. 29th.

I heard the Foreigner song yesterday along with all of “Memoirs” and let me tell you: Mariah’s got a hit on her hands along the lines of “Emancipation of Mimi “The hour-long CD is ballad-centric. Written and produced with The Dream and Tricky (I know, but these are their stage names), “Memoirs” boasts a lot of singles. Starting with the Foreigner song is a canny move in these uncertain times. By the time its run is over, a new generation will think “I Want to Know What Love Is” is a Mariah Carey song.

Mick Jones, who wrote it, should start picking out some nice new cars thanks to Carey. The money should come rolling in quickly.

The other songs on the album — these are the titles, although the running order is still being finalized: “Betcha,” “Obsessed,” “H.A.T.E.U.,” “Candy Bling,” “Ribbon,” “Standing O’s.,” “Impossible,” “It’s a Wrap,” “Inseparable,” “Up Out My Face,” “More than Just Friends,” and “Angels Cry.”

Several of these are radio ready. “Angels Cry” is an honest-to-god ballad a la “Vision of Love,” and should be a gigantic success. “Standing O’s” also has potential, as do “H.A.T.E.U.” — which stands for “having a typical emotional upset” — and “Inseparable.”

Def Jam’s L.A. Reid — who previewed the CD for the first time yesterday with a clutch of staffers — is playing with the order, to get it right. But he really can’t go wrong. Carey’s album, is, as they used to say, “what the kids want.” Plus, it’s got stuff for the slightly older crowd. I loved the doo-woppy “It’s a Wrap.” And the Foreigner track is so powerful, it’s going to be everywhere.

Good news, too: no more songs about Eminem. One was plenty.

So, by the end of September we’ll have new CDs from Whitney and from Mariah. They’re each top notch and different from each other enough that their fans should want them both. Maybe we’ll see a return to record stores (we have but a few in Manhattan now) and diva duels on radio if programmers are smart.
